Jacksonville vehicle wrapPeople often have a lot of questions when it comes to vehicle wraps, which we understand. We welcome any questions that our customers ask and are always happy to help them understand what vehicle wraps are all about. Here are 3 of the most common questions that we are asked. Hopefully, the answers will help you understand a bit more.

What are the vehicle wrap coverage options?

There are basically four different coverage options that we will explain here: Full, partial, decals, lettering,

  •  Full wraps cover the entire vehicle minus the front windows. Sometimes people will choose not to wrap the roof and this is often considered a full wrap as well. Full wraps are the preferred option for maximum creativity and wow factor that can attract more people. In addition, vinyl protects the paint on your vehicle from fading. So when the wrap is removed, your paint will look beautiful and even.
  •  Partial wraps cover a portion of your vehicle, most often a substantial portion not just a small section. The partial applications may cover the sides and rear or they can cover the hood, one-third of the sides and the rear. Of course, there are other variations as well. Partial wraps work best when the paint color of the car blends in with the colors of the custom design. One thing to keep in mind, is that the wrap will be protecting the covered areas from paint fading. Therefore, when the wrap is removed, these protected areas will most likely be more bright than those that have been exposed to the sun.
  • Decals are small vinyl applications that usually only include your logo, business name, and contact information. They can be custom shaped, but are often round or rectangle. They are not considered partial wraps. These are much cheaper that both of the above options as they use much less material and take a very short time to apply.
  • Lettering is the most basic way to advertise your business on your vehicles. Lettering is simply vinyl cut letters often only including your business name and contact information.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?
Wraps are often warrantied for 3 to 5 years depending on several factors. If you vehicle has original factory paint, the warranty is longer than a repainted car. However, the condition of the wrap will depend on how well you care for it. The better you care for it, the longer it will last. If the film is applied to an older car that has rust or dents, the wrap will not last as long as if installed on a perfect vehicle.

How much do vehicle wraps cost?
There is such a great variety of vehicles and coverage options that in order to give an accurate price, the best bet is to obtain a quote. Basically, the less coverage, the cheaper the project will be. A full wrap would cost more than a partial wrap. Likewise, a decal would be cheaper than a partial wrap.
